Vocational Evaluator

Location: Oconomowoc, WI

Position: Vocational Evaluator

Description:  Pantheon Industries, a nonprofit leader in vocational services for individuals with disabilities, is currently seeking a full time Vocational Evaluator.  This position is located in Waukesha County, and will serve offices in both New Berlin and Oconomowoc.

The position will primarily be performing vocational evaluations for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, along with area high schools.  Experience in supported employment assessments and the discovery process are preferred but not required.  The evaluator will also provide support to our community based prevocational training program.

Career Assessment Evaluator

Location:  Fairfax County Public Schools, Northern Virginia.

Position: Career Assessment Evaluator

Description: The primary responsibilities include activities necessary to plan the evaluation, administer appropriate psychometric tests and work samples, analyze results, synthesize student information, and formulate a comprehensive assessment report that will guide IEP teams with student postsecondary transition planning.  Career assessment evaluators are expected to remain current on all Career and Transition Services programming options available within Fairfax County Public Schools, available postsecondary support services and training options, and employment opportunities based on local labor market information.

Candidates should hold professional certification (CVE or PVE), be eligible for the Vocational Evaluator License as defined by the Virginia Department of Education as well as meet the following qualifications:

•          Knowledge of the professional Code of Ethics as set forth by Commission on Rehabilitative Counselor Certification (CRCC)

•          Knowledge of special needs populations; knowledge of the business community; understanding of adolescent issues; good organizational and record-keeping skills

•          Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, employers, and other agency representatives

Vocational Evaluator

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Description: Vocational evaluator position (full-time) at the Career Development Center, a comprehensive community-based vocational rehabilitation facility.

Job Summary:  The Vocational Evaluator works closely with each evaluee to ensure the individual receives an evaluation of appropriate length and quality. Works closely with department supervisors, case managers, and other professionals to provide each individual with maximum benefit from the evaluation. Length of evaluation period and vocational recommendations are made by the vocational evaluator. Works with individuals in employee development services to establish programming which will provide or enhance the employability of a worker.

Job responsibilities/Essential functions:

  1. Responsible for scheduling all evaluations and employee development services programs and providing written notification of appointment.
  2. Responsible for performing intake duties for all incoming evaluation and employee development services participants.
  3. Responsible for all evaluation and employee development service participants during their programming. Responsibilities include: initial interviews, preparation of individual program plans, administration of psychometric tests, and arranging evaluation sites. Also, responsible for meeting with each participants on a regular one to one basis.
  4. Responsible for meeting with department supervisors to check on participant’s performance.
  5. Responsible for scheduling and conducting staffings. This includes notifying appropriate individuals to attend: i.e., referring agencies, community agencies, social workers, and CDC staff.
  6. Responsible for writing reports to be submitted to referring agency and any other involved agencies, as needed.
  7. Responsible for documenting stafffings and other critical events in the case note section of the evaluee’s file.
  8. Responsible for implementation of all CARF standards applying to this position.
  9. Responsible to perform all other job related activities as assigned.

Vocational Evaluator (part-time)

Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Training

The Center for Rehabilitation and Employment Research at The University of Memphis is seeking applicants for a grant funded position. The Assistant Director provides training to the State of Tennessee’s Division of Rehabilitation Services vocational evaluators. The vocational evaluators provide vocational evaluations to vocational rehabilitation consumers as part of their plan development. The position requires travel across the State of Tennessee to provide on-site training to new and existing vocational evaluators.

Minimum position qualifications: Master’s degree and three years’ experience in rehabilitation counseling, administration or vocational evaluation or appropriate field. The center is especially interested in candidates with a Doctoral degree. Position is grant funded on an annual basis. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to sites across the State of Tennessee.
